Dear Nicholas,
I believe the world
to be a much more interesting
place for its diversity - including
its racial diversity.
But judging by your recent
op-ed, "Blacks,
Whites and Love", you
would rather see this
diversity, which Nature spent
10's of 1000's of years
creating, destroyed.
A bit of healthy
(i.e. non-racist) racial
discrimination is good for
diversity and I would much
rather you didn't discourage
it.
Instead of
confounding, blurring or
denying racial differences, I
wish that intellectuals like
yourself would help cultivate
them in a humane and civilised
fashion.
Yours sincerely
Roger Hicks
