Re:     Why immigration leads to emigration
Date:  Thursday 10 February 05

Dear Sir/Madam,

If native British people are as welcoming of immigrants as is so often claimed, one cannot help wondering about a report in today's Daily Telegraph: "Whites leaving cities as migrants move in". If a multi-racial and multi-cultural society is so popular, why are so many native Britons not hanging around to enjoy it, but instead, selling up and moving to parts of the country (or to continental Europe) that Greg Dyke would probably describe as being "hideously white"?

The truthful, but awkward (strictly non-PC) answer, is that most native Britons do not like living in areas with high immigrant (multi-racial and multi-cultural) populations. Far from "celebrating" racial and cultural diversity, as they are told they should (or be branded a "racist"), they hate it, tolerating it in silence for as long as they can (or have to) before moving away.

Are so many native Brits, like myself, really such "racists", as the "progressive" multi-culti crowd would have us believe?

I don't think so.  Most people everywhere prefer to live among people of their own race and culture (and social background). Can you imagine a predominantly Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or any other such population, being happy to see their society slowly transformed before their eyes by an influx of people of different race and culture (no matter how worthy and wonderful they are)? I certainly cannot. In fact, I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't allow it to happen.

One wonders why the British have, despite most of us not wanting it.

To a very large extent it has been forced on us by our own politicians - an unholy alliance of rightwing economics (cheap labour) and leftwing multi-culti ideology. You certainly cannot blame the immigrants for coming, which is important to remember when you feel angry about it. It is our own, native politicians and intellectuals who are responsible and at whom any anger should be directed (it's "stupid bloody white men" - not the blacks or Asians - who are to blame! And now make a "racist" out of me for that!).

Much credit is due to the majority of British people, who like my own parents, despite feeling betrayed by all the mainstream political parties over immigration, still didn't vote for the BNP or any other neofascist party: that's how "racist" they are! Yet because they were angry at having been made to feel like foreigners in their own country (in the London borough of Brent were we lived, native Britons have since become an ethnic minority themselves) that is what they are accused of. "I didn't spend the best 6 years of my life helping to defeat Nazi Germany just so as the government could invite half the third world to come and live with us", my father said bitterly, before he died in a London hospital ward surrounded by, what for him, at least, were foreigners.

Yours exceedingly non-PC
